The purpose of this article is to provide information on how to add a new Product to the NPC for PlaceMakers/Mico.
All products supplied to PlaceMakers/Mico MUST be loaded to the NPC and published to the relevant business unit.
Approval MUST be given by the relevant Category Manager (CM) before a new Product is loaded to the NPC and consequently made available to the PlaceMakers/Mico store network. During the approval process the CM will confirm if this product should be ‘Published’ to either PlaceMakers, Mico or both business units in the NPC.
Please note that if a product is ‘Published’ to a business unit incorrectly the Category team will require this data to be corrected in the NPC.
When loading a new product to the NPC both item and price data MUST be added (refer to "How To" NPC Video Tutorials for more information). If a price is not loaded (and released) in the NPC then the data will not flow through correctly to the Fletcher’s system and the category team will be unable to approve this item.
Store Specific Product’s
In the instance where a specific store has agreed to range a new product please contact the relevant Category Manager before loading this data to the NPC.
The CM will advise whether the product will be made available to the whole network or just the specific store that initially agree to range the Product.
In the NPC it is the price that will determine which stores can order a product. The item data should still be published to the relevant business unit.
In the instance where the CM only agrees to make the product available to the relevant store then you will need to add a store specific GLN code to the Price Location-to (GLN) AKA ‘Ship to’ GLN Code when loading a price. Refer to article for the PlaceMakers Regional Code List.
If the CM agrees to make the product available to the whole network, add the national price GLN Code (9429000132855) to the Price Location-to (GLN) field when loading the price.
If you have any questions about loading a new product to the NPC for PlaceMakers/Mico please contact the GS1 Support Team 0800 10 23 56, support@gs1nz.org.
