Healthcare Allocation of Temporary GTINs for Suppliers

Temporary GTINs should not be used unless there is no other alternative in order for a supplier to publish items to the National Product Catalogue.

Please contact GS1 Support if you are unable to obtain GTINs for the products you sell to a healthcare recipient (i.e. DHBs or Southern Cross)

When a supplier is unable to obtain a permanent GTIN from a brand owner/manufacturer the process on the attached document is to be followed.

The letter that NZ suppliers should use when requesting GTINs from their brand owner/manufacturer is also attached.
