Foodstuffs has recently decided to re-measure many products both in their stores, and in their DCs. They are doing this as they have new systems coming onstream which rely on dimensional accuracy (like FSSI's new Transportation and Warehouse Management systems).
Foodstuffs has let their key suppliers know about this, and where there have identified significant discrepancies between their own measurements and your data on National Product Catalogue (NPC), they will notify you via a REVIEW message in either NPC Rapid, or NPC Publisher, depending on which GS1 system you use.
If Foodstuffs send you a REVIEW message, they ask that you please correct the item with the measured dimensions and weights and ensure all other items in the hierarchy are correct.
To fix your dimensions in NPC Rapid:
1. Log in here: NPC Rapid
2. Find any REVIEWs from Foodstuffs related to dimensions/weights (mouse over the REVIEW text), click "Action" then "Make Changes":
3. Ensure you select "Fix Data":
4. Go to the "Product Hierarchy" section. Correct your dimensions and/or weights as Foodstuffs describe, then press "Review":
5. After you have clicked Review above, check all your data in the summary review page, then hit "Continue" at the bottom of that page.
6. Review each tab of your OnPack data (or enter it if missing), then "Submit" and then "Back to All Products"
Please note: You may have to update other product master data that is out of date or missing. This includes your on pack data (ingredients, allergens, NIPs). You may be prompted to submit your product for ProductFlow if you are missing on pack data - please choose the service that best suits your business.
To fix your dimensions in NPC Publisher:
1. Log in to NPC Publisher
2. Find Foodstuffs' "REVIEW" message. It will appear as a red exclamation mark in the Response column of your item hitlist, like below
3. Click the red REVIEW exclamation mark. Clicking on "Recipient Feedback" will allow you to see the dimensional feedback from Foodstuffs:
3. If one of your products need dimensional fixes, select each 'GTIN' in the product hierarchy, then press "Edit":
4. For each GTIN, go to the Product Characteristics section, fix any incorrect dimensions (and/or Weights), then click "Save" then "Release". Make sure you correct data for both the Base and Case (and Inner if you have one).
