GS1 Global Registry

Your Product Passport

GS1 is working with over 2 million members worldwide to create a global registry of products. This registry will ensure products can be reliably identified and accurately presented.

The good news is that all products entered into MyGS1 are automatically included in this Global Registry. You do however have the option to set a release date, if your product is yet to launch to the market.

Data in the registry is essentially a digital twin for your product. Another way to think of this is the concept of a Product Passport. This passport contains essential identifying data for your product.

Note: When creating a product in MyGS1, although images are not mandatory for registering a barcode number, we recommend that you add an image as soon as possible to complete your product passport.
